The Practice
JYGA — Jarrett-Yaskey, Garber & Associates — is a small, deliberately-sized practice of architects and engineers based in Freetown. Founded in 1978, the firm has carried a single conviction across every commission since: that buildings for this region should be designed for its climate, its materials and its people, not imported wholesale from elsewhere.
Today the practice operates from three countries — Sierra Leone, Botswana and Liberia — and is registered to deliver work for the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the EU and UN agencies.
